Lynn Roppolo, MD, FACEP, FPD-AEMUS, has served as a speaker for ACEP’s AEMUS FPD Exam Review Course since 2025. She is currently a core faculty member and assistant ultrasound director at John Peter Smith Health Network in Fort Worth, TX.  Dr. Roppolo is also an adjunct professor at the University of North Texas and Texas Christian University, and she is a retired professor at the University of Texas Southwestern. Dr. Roppolo earned her doctor of medicine degree from University of California San Diego. She completed her residency at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, and her emergency ultrasound fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern.

Dr. Roppolo was the recipient of the 2025 John Peter Health Network Faculty Award for Excellence in Undergraduate and Graduate Medical Education. She is chair-elect for the ACEP Emergency Ultrasound Research Subcommittee. She has published several articles on point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) research and was the recipient of the SAEMF AEUS research grant for her multicenter study on eFAST longitudinal learning curves using CUSUM analysis, which was presented at the plenary session at SAEM 2025. She was co-author for the recently published SPUR (Standards for POCUS Research Reporting) guidelines and section editor for the book Advanced Point-of-Care Ultrasound by Gottlieb and Panebianco, a comprehensive review for the AEMUS examination.
