Di Coneybeare

Executive Course Director
Di Coneybeare, MD, MHPE, FPD-AEMUS, has served as the executive course director for ACEP’s AEMUS FPD Exam Review Course since 2025 and as an assistant course director since 2021. She has also served as a section editor for PEERcert+ Advanced Ultrasound since 2025. Dr. Coneybeare is currently an associate professor of emergency medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York, NY. Dr. Coneybeare earned her doctor of medicine degree from the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. She completed her emergency medicine residency at NYC Health + Hospitals Bellevue/New York University Langone Medical Center, where she also completed an emergency ultrasound fellowship and obtained a master’s in health professional education.
Dr. Coneybeare was the past-chair of the ACEP Emergency Ultrasound Section’s Fellow Education Subcommittee, and she spearheaded projects such as the Literature Canon, the Fellowship Starter Kit, SonoCranium (in collaboration with the ACEP Emergency Ultrasound Management Course), and the inaugural Fellow Speaker Symposium. She is the current president-elect of the Society of Clinical Ultrasound Fellowships. Dr. Coneybeare received the Rising Star in Education Award from SAEM in 2021 and the Future Leader in Education from ACEP in 2022. Her research focuses on medical education, and she was awarded the 2023 SAEMF Education Project Grant to explore professional identity formation in fellowship.
