These international organizations partner closely with ACEP to advance the practice and development of emergency medicine, including education, resources, guidelines, and access to care on every continent.
Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians (CAEP)
As the national voice of EM, CAEP provides CME, advocates on behalf of emergency physicians and their patients, supports research and strengthens the EM community. In co-operation with other specialties and committees, CAEP also plays a vital role in the development of national standards and clinical guidelines.
Emirates Society of Emergency Medicine (ESEM)
ESEM was established in 2012 by a group of emergency physicians who sensed the need to unite the specialty under one umbrella with the vision to be the vanguard of EM in the UAE and the region.
European Society For Emergency Medicine (EUSEM)
EUSEM is a non-profit scientific organization whose vision is to ensure every patient receives the best emergency care in Europe. Beginning as a society of individuals in 1994 from a multidisciplinary group of EM experts, EUSEM membership has grown to include 38 European national societies as well as individual members.
International Conference on Emergency Medicine (ICEM)
ICEM plays a pivotal role in advancing the field of EM on a global scale. Our vision is to promote access to quality emergency care for all people and to enhance the practice of EM worldwide.
International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM)
IFEM is committed to achieving universal access to high quality EM care, through education and standards, supporting growth of the specialty of EM in every country, and strong advocacy with governments, global health organizations, and communities.
Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM)
RCEM advances education and research in EM. It sets training standards, administers examinations for fellowship and membership, and recommends trainees for CCT. Committed to high-quality patient care, the College sets and monitors ED standards and provides expert policy guidance on EM.
Rwanda Emergency Care Association (RECA)
RECA is an association made up of EM physicians, EM residents, Nurses and pre-hospital care providers both local and international with active involvement in emergency care in the country.
