Todd B. Taylor, MD, FACEP 

Dr. Taylor has more than 35 years experience in clinical, academic and administrative medicine and is board certified in emergency medicine (ABEM) and clinical informatics (ABPM).

He has served as Chief Vision Officer for the ACEP Emergency Medicine Data Institute (EMDI) since 2022 and Vice Chair of the ACEP Health Innovation Technology Committee 2019-2024.

Dr. Taylor is a former ACEP Council Speaker (2005-2007), a founding member of the ACEP Section for Emergency Medicine Informatics (1992) and physician executive for Microsoft Health Solutions Group (2006-2012).

For the past four years, Dr. Taylor has been assisting ACEP in development and transition of the EMDI, including moderating the ACEP HIT Summit in July 2019 and editing of the subsequent Vision Paper. Over the past three years, he has been leading the EMDI Transition Team helping bring the EMDI to life.
