Edward Barthell

Dr. Edward Barthell is Interim Director ACEP Emergency Medicine Data Institute and EMI Section Founder. He was the First Chair and Councilor for EMI. He is a board-certified emergency physician with over 20 years of clinical experience and has a master’s in medical informatics. He founded a regional HIE in Wisconsin and worked at Microsoft as National Director of Connected Health. Most recently he has led EmOpti, a workflow software and telehealth company focused on improving patient flow in busy acute care facilities.
