Jason Nomura

Jason Nomura, MD, FACEP, FPD-AEMUS, has served as a speaker for ACEP’s AEMUS FPD Exam Review Course since 2022. Dr. Nomura has also served as a section editor for ACEP’s PEERcert+ Advanced Ultrasound since 2025. He is currently the emergency medicine ultrasound director and medical director of systemwide POCUS at Christiana Care Health System. Dr. Nomura earned his doctor of medicine degree from the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He completed his combined emergency medicine and internal medicine residency and his advanced emergency medicine ultrasound fellowship at Christiana Care.

Dr. Nomura has also contributed to several publications on POCUS safety, administration, and workflow, including the Ultrasound Practice Management and Advanced Point of Care Ultrasound textbooks. He previously served as co-chair of the ACEP Emergency Ultrasound Section’s Safety and Industry Round Table subcommittees. Dr. Nomura is currently a board member for ACEP’s Clinical Ultrasound Accreditation Program (CUAP). His current area of focus and expertise is ultrasound safety, operations, workflow, and education, along with clinical interests in procedural guidance, contrast, and resuscitation.
