Ee Tay, MD, has served as a speaker for ACEP’s AEMUS FPD Exam Review Course since 2023. Dr. Tay is a board-certified pediatric emergency medicine physician with a deep commitment to advancing point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) in pediatric emergency care. She currently serves as the clinical site chief of pediatric emergency services at NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue and holds a dual faculty appointment as associate clinical professor in the departments of emergency medicine and pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. She also leads as the director of emergency medicine ultrasound scholarly activities, where she mentors residents and fellows in ultrasound research and education.

Dr. Tay earned her doctor of medicine degree from the University of Florida. She completed both her pediatric residency and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in Bronx, New York. She further specialized with a pediatric emergency medicine ultrasound fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Since joining ACEP’s AEMUS FPD Exam Review Course in 2023, Dr. Tay has contributed as a core faculty member with a specific focus on pediatric and soft tissue ultrasound content. Her clinical expertise and passion for ultrasound education have made her a valued leader in the course’s curriculum development and review process.

Dr. Tay’s scholarly work centers on POCUS applications in pediatric emergency medicine, with published research in areas such as pediatric cardiac standstill, soft tissue infections, angioedema, lung pathology, and appendicitis. She is an active national speaker, having presented numerous lectures at the Pediatric Emergency POCUS Educational Collaborative (PEPEC) as well as regional conferences on pediatric POCUS topics.

In addition to her academic and clinical work, Dr. Tay serves the broader emergency medicine and pediatric ultrasound communities. She is the conference chair for the P2Network as well as a board member and research chair for POCUS in Pediatrics, organizations committed to the advancement of pediatric ultrasound education and practice. Her professional interests also include health care operations, clinical administration, and mentorship in pediatric emergency medicine and POCUS.
