Our Educational Meetings Subcommittee is accepting course proposals for:
What is the difference in a CME course and an Off-Track course?
Off-Track Courses
- Provide a voice for ACEP sections and committees to reach beyond their membership
- Offer later deadlines for more "of-the-moment" content outside of strict CME planning requirements
- Showcase new speakers to ACEP meeting attendees
- Can discuss topics that may be restricted by ACCME guidelines
- Allow attendees and their guests to attend educational, non-clinical courses
CME Courses
- Offer CME credit to attendees
- Align with the core content of the EM Model
- Should be new and different content from previous ACEP Annual Meeting courses
Deadlines
No email submissions for proposals will be accepted – this form is the only submission channel. Proposals submitted after the deadlines will be considered for the following year’s conference.
Educational Courses
Proposals for ACEP25 have closed.
CME courses for ACEP26 must be submitted by Midnight CST on Sunday, October 5, 2025
Off-Track Courses
Course proposals for Off-Track (Non-CME) courses for ACEP25 must be submitted by Midnight CST on June 1, 2025.
Proposal Evaluation
When the Educational Meetings Subcommittee convenes to plan the ACEP Annual Meeting each December, they review all submitted proposals to finalize the full program and speakers.
The Subcommittee considers many factors in making its decision regarding proposals, including data from the latest needs assessment, the subject's appropriateness, attendance figures for courses at previous ACEP meetings, registrants' evaluation of previous courses and faculty, the number of hours allotted to each core content area, the availability of faculty in geographic proximity to the meeting site, and the budget.
Please be assured that the subcommittee considers each proposal that is submitted and endeavors to balance proposals for courses with the general membership's educational goals and needs.
The Educational Meetings Subcommittee reviews all proposals and may:
- accept the proposal as written
- modify the proposal
- not offer the proposed course
Notification
For a CME course, you will be notified in Spring 2025 if your proposal will be included in the ACEP25 schedule. If the subcommittee elects to include your CME course as submitted, the name listed as recommended faculty will be invited to present that course.
For an Off-Track course, you will be notified in July 2025 if your proposal will be included in the ACEP25 schedule. The name listed as recommended faculty will be invited to present that course.
Proposals are a valuable contribution to the planning process of ACEP’s meetings. Thank you for your participation.
