Susan Nedza: Really hard to take care of others when you are not taking care of yourself, either by yourself, by your specialty, by those around you or by the community in which we practice and that includes the communities we define in, of the patients we care for, the hospital, our own practice groups and our families, friends and others. So to be a caring health professional or a caring emergency physician, you need to be cared for and that's really what Career Fulfillment's about. Feeling appreciated, finding a challenge and working with good people and all of those things I think need to come together to have a fulfilling career, which I personally have benefited from through my membership in ACEP.
