Dr. Bing Pao, M.D., FACEP attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated with highest distinction. He received his medical degree from Duke University and was honored with the Medical Student Award by the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Pao completed his internship at the University of Colorado and his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of California, San Diego. During residency, he served as President of the California Emergency Residency Association.
Dr. Pao has held several leadership roles in organized medicine. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the California Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (California ACEP), where he also chaired the Reimbursement Committee. In recognition of his contributions, California ACEP awarded him the Chapter Service Award. Nationally, Dr. Pao has served on the Steering and Reimbursement Committees of ACEP and has participated on ACEP Council reference committees.
Dr. Pao is a board-certified emergency physician, currently practicing at Moreno Valley Hospital in Riverside County, California. He is the Senior Director of Provider Relations for Vituity, a physician-owned, democratic partnership. He is also on faculty at the University of California, San Diego, and the University of California, Riverside.
Dr. Pao is passionate about advocating for emergency physicians and the patients they serve. His longstanding involvement in organized medicine includes leading and contributing to boards, committees, and task forces at the county, state, and national levels.
