Kedrion Biopharma is proud to partner with all healthcare professionals and facilities helping to fight against the spread of rabies, a deadly viral disease that remains a threat to all ages. Please join us for a comprehensive clinical overview on all-things rabies: its prevalence, its risks, and the importance of following approved treatment guidelines to prevent fatal outcomes.
Rabies is not curable and can lead to death, but it IS preventable with prompt and proper post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP). A critical step of PEP includes the administration of human rabies immune globulin (HRIG) which neutralizes the rabies virus at the wound site and provides immediate protection. We will detail the differences between HRIG options and the importance of having sufficient volume for effective wound infiltration, especially when treating children with large or complex wounds.
In addition to offering KEDRAB, an HRIG for immediate protection from the rabies virus, Kedrion Biopharma provides educational tools, financial assistance, and replacement programs to support healthcare providers administering PEP to help save lives.
